The Seoul Metropolitan Subway is a comprehensive transit system in Seoul, South Korea that operates trains on lines 1-9 and the AREX airport rail line.
It is one of the busiest metro systems in the world, with over 8 million passengers using it daily.
The subway operates from 5:30 AM to 1:00 AM daily,
and the fare is based on the distance traveled, starting at 1,250 won.
(It is expected to rise by 300 to 400 won from April 2023.)
The subway serves a large portion of the city and its suburbs, making it a convenient way to get around Seoul.
There are various types of tickets and passes available, including single journey tickets, T-money cards, and tourist passes, among others.
I will tell you a few advantages of the Korean subway.
First, you can use free public Wi-Fi. (Some places do not have free public Wi-Fi.)
Second, subways and subway stations are clean.
Third, restrooms are available at every subway station.
There are many more advantages, but I stop here. 🙂
Using the subway is a must when traveling in Seoul.
